House #105: The House at the Three Canals
To celebrate our birthday, we release a new house on 7 October each year. In 2024, we created a miniature of "The House at the Three Canals" in Amsterdam for our 105th birthday.
This distinguished mansion, built in 1610 in the Dutch Renaissance style, holds national monument status. Uniquely positioned at the intersection of the Grimburgwal, Oudezijds Voorburgwal, and Oudezijds Achterburgwal canals, it underwent a major renovation in 1909. Architect Jan de Meyer restored it to its 17th-century glory, adding new window frames, stepped gables, and a sandstone door frame. For years, it served as a bookstore and publishing house. We chose this house to celebrate Amsterdam's rich history and architectural beauty. KLM is committed to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Netherlands.
